I found this picture the other day and fell in love. So I went on a mission to find a skirt just like it...and I did (literally exactly the same)! This skirt makes me happy everytime I wear it, people love it and I feel femine and flirty in it. They are very much in fashion and are great for summer!

I found mine at Zara in Sandton and they had quite a few colours! All I need is the tan jacket now :)

One month & it's Christmas Eve

OMGosh, so its one month until Christmas Eve and I am so excited. I love South African Christmas', they remind me of sunny days, swimming, friends and family. So between all the other fashion posts I will upload a few ideas that you can do for the festive season which are really fantastic and all pretty easy.

Yellow...

I need Yellow. At the moment it's all I can think about when it comes to clothing. Yellow is warm, evokes light, is full of creativity, it symbolises wisdom and means joy and happiness. It has been proven that people who are blind to other colours can usually see yellow. All in all a pretty powerful colour...and it's in fashion.

The Sock Bun!

Ok, so this has to be one of the weirdest things ever, but it really works. I have done this a few times and it is easier than it looks, and also has two different uses.

The first one is to make a great looking bun, which creates full looking hair. You can also do this for your upcoming year end functions as it's like a fancy up do, but it is really simple and beautiful.

The second way you can use this is to make really beautiful curls. All you need to do is follow the exact instructions below, but just do it before you go to bed and spray with a bit of water to dampen. The next morning your locks will look amazing (I have done this loads and always get compliments at the office)!

Make a Wish



Bare on the Beach

I have just realised it is exactly 4 weeks until I go on leave and head towards the beautiful Cape Town (which has been made one of the 7 wonders of the world...can I get a whoop!). So I need to get my butt into gear (literally and figuratively) for a few things.

1. I need a new bikini...I am loving the colour blue.
2. I seriously need to tone up, seriously!
3. I need to start planning what will be going into my beach bag etc... How clever is the idea below.

Old Shoes....Please!

So I came across this today and find it one of the cleverest things I have ever seen when it comes to 'mending' old shoes. Its quick, simple and cheap and makes them look pretty and new! You just glue glitter to the bottom of your stilletto's and presto.You're welcome :)

A 30th Birthday

I have hit the age where I increasingly find my self at friends 30th birthday parties, which doesn't thrill me much. It makes me feel a little sad BUT is an excuse to buy a new outfit or dress so everything has a pro. For a 30th I always feel I need to look a little grown up, however I also like to rub it in people's faces that I, on the other hand, am not yet there. This is the look I am going to go for ; )

On Thursday I will be attending our company's end of year function which makes the most popular conversation, with the girls in the office, being about what we are all going to wear. The theme is East meets West, as in Asia & USA Western (don't ask) or...dress as yourself, which doesn't make this easy.

Too true

It's Monday Tomorrow

It's monday tomorrow morning and this brings a sense of dread. Not because I have to go back to work after a great weekend, but because for some reason I feel more pressurised to dress more "corporaty". I get the feeling that because my work collegues haven't seen me in two days I have to dress to impress again, like when I went for my first interview. Strange, but true. Anyway I found this outfit which I know is perfectly powerful and stylish too....I just need to find one now. Sunday

It's a Sunday, and although weekends should be a pretty casual affair I can't help but want to look and feel great. My husband & I are going to look at houses to buy (because we growing up) and I need to look the part. The reason I say this is because I sometimes look quite young for my age (I got asked yesterday if I was still in school by a very kind but serious gentleman) and previously, when I have gone to look at showdays on my own, I have not been taken very seriously by some estate agents....so today I am dressing up (in a non-caring way)!
